The evident happiness and relief reflected in Samson’s face after hitting a boundary to go for his maiden T20I century, that got him the second-fastest in the history of India. A joyous reaction upon achieving this milestone ran viral on social media.
Sanju Samson joined Suryakumar Yadav after the early dismissal of Abhishek Sharma and together they had severe punishment for the Bangladeshi bowlers. India raced to 100 in just 7.1 overs, the fastest in their history ever in the T20 format. While Samson was all out on attack mode, Yadav has been no less impressive and reached fifty in just 23 balls. While Sanju was dismissed in 111, and just another ball after that when Surya lost his wicket at 75, the onslaught didn’t stop. Riyan Parag hammered 34 off 13 balls, and Hardik Pandya bailed India out to add 47 off 18. The Bangladesh set a new total of 297-6, as Bangladesh was reduced to 164-7 to lose the match by 133 runs.
